How to Prepare for and Take Cambridge
Exams (made for ASPAEN Los Cerezos)
- 1)
Try to
attempt as many questions as you can. This increases your chances of passing
and scoring high. There is no negative marking.
- 2)
If you do
not know terminology, write it in your own words. However, do not switch to
Spanish or use funny lines.
- 3)
Keep track
of your time. The idea of mock tests is to learn how to go section by section
so that you can have five spare minutes to check anything you might have
missed.
- 4)
Write
using a pen. Be confident. You can do it!
- 5)
Do not use
extremely obvious answers. You are writing a biology/science paper, not a GE
one.
- 6)
Avoid
words such as good/bad/great. They make your answers seem vague.
- 7)
Look at
the number of points allotted per section. They will give you an idea about how
many ideas to include.
- 8)
Do not
repeat the question in the answer. Do not write the same idea repeatedly. Each
sentence should give new information or add to existing information.
- 9)
Use good
handwriting and presentation. Write letters/numbers clearly in objective type
answers.
- 10)
Be original.
Do not think about what your classmates might be writing. Your own answer might
be much better than theirs.
